The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing and co-coordinating the operations of the business. The Operations Manager manages the staff and operating procedures for an efficient output. This individual maintains many functions pertaining not only to the office but the company production.  In addition this person will be an integral part of our marketing and sales support efforts.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for the hiring and training of new and current staff members.

·         Monitors staff performance including performance review.

·         Create, maintain and implement company policies.

·         Evaluate current business processes and systems.

·         Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency.

·         Responsible for Supply Chain Management.

·         Facilitates the preparation and analysis of reports. Such as: Financial Analysis, Sales, Productivity

·         Inventory monitoring, forecasting, and insure inventory count accuracy

·         Audit financial/accounting transactions. Such as: Payroll, Payables, Receivables, Project Costing

·         Direct Marketing and Sales Support efforts.

·         Maintain relationships with customers and vendors thru overseeing service and issue resolution.

·         Oversee office needs. Such as: Equipment, supplies, IT

 

Many of the functions of the Operations Manager over-lap with other company disciplines so continuous communication is necessary. This takes good communication skills and the ability to get along well with others.

 

Qualifications:

As a candidate, you should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. You should have a very good knowledge of business and management principles and practices in order to function successfully.  You must also possess knowledge of strategic planning, human resource management principles and procedures. You need the basic knowledge behind economic and accounting principles and practices. Of course you must be very proficient in relevant software applications, preferably experienced in Quickbooks and Salesforce. You need to be able to coach staff individually and as a team. Teamwork is essential in most businesses in order to keep things working smoothly. You should have the capability to train others. Self-motivation, action driven and decision making skills are essential to your success.
